An Epigram of Kabir

Kabir:

The hut was made of sticks
And all ten sides caught fire;

Pundits, pundits--

they burned inside

While the fools ran out
and saved their lives

Um...you've got google, right?

Just kidding.

Kabir was a poet saint of ancient India. Nobody really knows much about him apart from what's in his poems. From the poems we know that he was a weaver, probably from a Hindu family, but possibly one that had recently converted to Islam. He raised everybody's hackles, Muslim and Hindu alike. No use for Islamic legalism or Hindu punditry. Didn't care much for the wandering ascetics either.

"If enlightenment came from roaming around in the buff,
Deer would be the first to reach heaven."

Anyway, look him up, he ROCKS!
